Today Chef EK is making French Macarons, But offering an alternative way to present them. They're a french cookie made from almond flour, sugar and egg whites. It has a delicate crispy shell and a soft and chewy center.
1)Boil the Water and sugar as stated, do not stir
2)Add your icing sugar and almond powder together and mix
3)Sift your almond powder well into a mixing bowl
4)Add your egg whites and mix well (Save half for whipping)
5)Whip the other half of your egg whites as your sugar syrup comes to a boil
